DFB.TV on HD+: Official DFB channel launches on May 22 with live soccer and a media library

  • Featuring approximately 250 live events per year, as well as the DFB.TV media library

  • DFB.TV is available via satellite and IP and can be subscribed to by HD+ customers

  • Three subscription options: in the HD+ web shop as an additional monthly subscription or as a twelve-month extension including HD+, as well as in stores as a six-month combo product


Unterföhring, May 19, 2026 – Starting immediately, HD+ customers can subscribe to DFB.TV as an add-on – and experience the diversity of German soccer on their TVs: ranging from the senior national teams, juniors, and amateurs to the DFB ePokal, futsal, and beach soccer. In addition, there are around 250 live events per year, as well as interviews and documentaries. The channel launch on May 22, 2026, will allow soccer fans to not only watch the 24/7 channel but will also gain access to the new DFB.TV media library and its extensive content covering all aspects of German soccer.


Three Ways to Access DFB.TV on HD+

Three subscription options are available:

  • As a subscription for €2.99 per month, cancellable monthly as an add-on to HD+.

  • As a twelve-month extension of HD+ and DFB.TV for €120.88, available in the HD+ web shop.

  • Or 6 months of HD+ and DFB.TV for €60, available at retail stores.

 

DFB.TV can be used with all common HD+ reception methods – via the HD+ TV app, the HD+ module, HD+ receiver, as well as the HD+ IP TV Stick or HD+ Stream.


DFB.TV Media Library: Soccer On Demand

In addition to the DFB.TV channel, customers will also have access to the new DFB.TV media library. The DFB.TV media library provides access to a wide selection of matches, highlights, magazine shows, and exclusive formats – available on demand at any time and without fixed broadcast schedules.

 

Satellite households can open the DFB.TV Media Library as an HbbTV app using the red/yellow selection button on the remote control.

 

Satellite and IP customers who use DFB.TV via the HD+ TV app also benefit from convenient features: Restarting live broadcasts, on-demand access to content from the past 30 days, and the ability to pause broadcasts for up to 120 minutes. The current schedule is clearly displayed in the EPG.


Program Launch and Highlights: From the Amateur Finals to Coverage of the National Soccer Team at the World Cup

The launch of DFB.TV will focus on live soccer and coverage of the Men’s DFB Cup Final. The channel will kick off on May 22 at 3:30 p.m. with a launch event from Berlin, featuring on-site interviews, a press conference, training sessions, and an opening ceremony.

 

An early highlight is to follow on May 23 with “Amateur Finals Day,” as DFB.TV will be broadcasting state cup finals live starting at 11:15 a.m. From May 24 to 26, the documentary “Der Weg ist das Team” will premiere. It follows the German women’s national team’s journey to and during the 2025 European Championship—with two-part episodes each time. Afterward, DFB.TV will follow the national team at the 2026 World Cup—reporting live from the team’s base camp and the “German House of Soccer” in the U.S., among other locations. Additionally, the service will feature matches from the U19 national team, games from the DFB Junior Women’s Cup, and promotion matches to the Regional League.
